Terms of Service

1. The terms and conditions below (the "Terms of Service") define extent and terms of Rendering Electronic Services by VIN-Info Ltd. with the premises in Katowice at Modelarska 18, particularly:
1. rights and obligations of parties in relation to rendering electronic services
2. types, range and conditions of providing services
3. principles of excluding the responsibility of VIN-INFO Ltd. by virtue of services grounds


2. These TOS is free of charge and is aviable to users at www.vin-info.com. It can be downloaded, saved and printed. User is obliged to acquaint oneself with TOS content before using the service.


3. Definitions:
1. A "user" is someone who accesses, browses or in any way uses the Sites. The terms "you" and "your" refer to you, as a user of the Site.
2. "Site" and "Sites" refers to www.vin-info.com or www.autobaza.pl
3. Teleinformatics system, hardware and software set which enables processing, storage, sending and receiving of data through telecomunication Network by using proper for this Network terminal in accordance with statutory provisions (Telecomunication Law enacted on 21th of July 2000).
4. The terms "we", "us", "our", and "VIN-Info" refer to VIN-Info Ltd.

1. VIN-Info provides following services:
1. Vehicle checking which consists of:
• - VIN decoding (Vehicle Identification Number)
• - stolen cars database check
• - vehicle defects and malfunctions check
• - information about manufactrurer
• - photo galeries of the checking type of car
• - final report printing.


2. User acknowledges that depending of vehicle's copy, manufacturer, year and place of production not all data can be available owing to circumstances beyond our control. You can get less information than listed above in paragraph 1.


3. User acknowledges and accepts that by using the Site you agree to these Terms of Services. Copyright to all content on the Sites is either owned by VIN-Info or is licensed to us.


4. Use of this Site constitutes your agreement to be bound by and adhere to these Terms of Services. These TOS are a legally binding agreement between you and us, and contain important information about our site and your use of our site. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the site.

1. We provide our services in free of charge or payable version. Free of charge service gives limited access to the Site . Payable service gives unlimited access to the Site, after entering the access code.


2. We enable you to buy access code. This code lets you use the commercial version of the Site from 24hours up to 1 year (number of avilable checks differs) depending on the type of bought access. All the information concerning codes you can find under the „Shopping” button. Acceptable payment metod is using of Dotpay Service or sending an SMS.


3. If you want to purchase order of access code by Dotpay Service, you should:
1. choose type and version of the service
2. enter your e-mail address
3. verify your order


4. If you want to purchase order of access code by SMS service, you should send specified text message. Prices, types of services, necessary phone numbers you can find under the „Shopping” button.


5. Access code will be sent to entered e-mail address (Dotpay Service) or to your mobile with return SMS. Access code has to be entered into „Check the Vehicle”.

1. Check the vehicle service is available in free of charge or chargeable verion.


2. Free of charge version lets to encode 5 VINs a day per one IP. It displays most of the information except: vehicle's model year, the control number check results, serial number range check results.


3. Chargeable version lets to display following information:
1. all data encoded in VIN which are available for VIN-Info
2. whether the vehicle appears or not in some european countries‘ stolen cars data bases
3. about vehicle defects and malfunctions which may be manufacturer recalls
4. manufacturer data
5. photo galeries of the checking brand (if they are available).
6. generating of summary report in PDF format

1. Numberplates service is available in free of charge version and chargeable version as well. It displays information about the type of numberplates and registration Office's address details.


2. Free of charge service lets to encode 3 numberplates a day per one IP.


3. Chargeable version lets to encode unlimited amount of numberplates as long as the access cod is valid.

In order to use the service it is necessary to have Internet connection. Our website works with all standards compliant browsers: Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 1.5 or higher, Opera 9 or higher, Safari 3 or higher. Our website requires the Web browser to support JavaScript and to accept session-based cookies. Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher is necessary.

1. You have the right to raise a complaint in cases related to services only.


2. To lay a claim you need to use contact form or send us complaint letter to the stated VIN-Info address. It should include:
1. users data (name, surname, e-mail address or postal address)
2. description of a cause for complaint


3. We will do our best to inquire into a complaint within 14 days since claim's data date. We will reply to any given address to inform you whether we allow or refuse a claim.


4. We will not inquire into a complaint missing any of data mentioned above.

1. The site and all site content is made available to you on an „as is” basis. VIN-Info makes no warranties, representations or conditions of any kind express, statutory or implied as to the operation and functionality of the site. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Site at our sole discretion, at any time, for any or no reason, and without notice or liability.


2. VIN-Info disclaims all liability for any data transmittion error, particulary caused by teleinformatics system, communications system and power supply system failures. We are not responsible for any access limitation owing to circumstances beyond our control.


3. You agree that accessible data, especially provided by third parties, are just assistance and suggestion for user. If available data shows car's illegal source, you should contact with appropriate authorities and us to verify this information.


4. VIN-Info also disclaims all liablity for any loss or damage arising out of your use of the site and site content. Your use of the site and site content is at your own discretion and risk, and you will be solely responsible for any resulting loss or damage, including but not limited to any loss of data or damage to your computer from viruses that may be download to your computer in the course of using the site. We do not verify and we are not responsible for the availability or contents of third party data.


5. The Site may include links to other websites (each, a "Third Party Site"). We do not control or endorse any Third Party Site, and you agree that we are not responsible for the availability, charges or contents of such Third Party Sites. Some of the services made available through the Site are provided in connection with third parties and subject to additional terms posted by them. Furthermore we do not take responsibility for third party services or products they offer.

1. We expose our Sites content to be read, display or printed for your personal use only. It is forbidden to distribute this content, if you didn't obtain our's consent.


2. It is forbidden to copy, remove, distribute or storage site content in whole or in parts. It is also forbidden to translate, decompilate and modify the Site arrangement or source code.


3. Some documents which are part of Site content may be subject to additional restriction or terms contained inside them.

1. Uploading any content to Site directly or by e-mail you guarantee to obey the following rules:
1. you accept and agree that it is forbidden to upload any illegal, abusive, deceiving content and to use the Site or any Site content to transmit any computer viruses, worms, defects
2. you declare to do everything what you can to remove any viruses and anything that interferes with the proper working of the Site from the uploaded content as soon as possibile
3. you also declare to be an owner of the uploaded content or own unlimited rights to transmit this content to VIN-Info without bearing any costs and responsibility of publishing.

1. Without your authorization VIN-Info only process your personal information essential to draw, modify or to break a contract, in particular your:
1. name and surname
2. PESEL (Polish citizen identification number)
3. permanent address
4. forwarding address
5. electronic signature verify data
6. e-mail addresses


2. We can process other than above-mentioned data, if it is necessary for service providing or results from terms of settlement. These data are determined essential for service.


3. We can also process your exploitative data, which are specific for your using the service, such as:
1. your identification codes given on the basis of above mentioned data
2. codes which establish your network or teleinformatics system identity
3. information about beginning, end and range of every service use
4. information about using the service


4. After you finish using the service we will not process any data mentioned in paragraph XI.1, except:
1. data essential to settlement of service or to vindication of a claim
2. only with your consent: data necessary to advertisement, market research or users' tendencies research purposes in order to improve the quality of our service
3. necessary to clarify circumstances of unauthorized use of service or access to the Site
4. data admitted to processing on the separate law or agreements basis

Trojan horse: is a program in which malicious or harmful code is contained inside apparently harmless programming or data in such a way that it can get control and do its chosen form of damage, such as ruining the file allocation table on your hard disk. A Trojan horse may be widely redistributed as part of a computer virus or by e-mail. To operate it has to be activate by a user.

Virus: a computer program that duplicates itself in a manner that is harmful to normal computer use. Most viruses work by attaching themselves to another program. The amount of damage varies. Viruses may erase all data or do nothing but reproduce themselves or send out itself with using address book or correspondence history.

Spam: also known as junk e-mail, is a subset of spam that involves nearly identical messages sent to numerous recipients by e-mail. A common synonym for spam is unsolicited bulk e-mail (UBE). Content of such an e-mail doesn't matter, it can deal with the information about both sales and earning in the internet. Spammers collect e-mail addresses from chatrooms, websites, customer lists, newsgroups, and viruses which harvest users' address books, and are sold to other spammers. They also use a practice known as "e-mail appending" or "epending" in which they use known information about their target (such as a postal address) to search for the target's email address.
